1. Paper! This one is kind of obvious, but you don’t want to get started on a journal only to realize you don’t have enough paper. Or worse, realize you don’t have the paper you’d like to use for the specific project you’re working on. Thankfully, ephemera is easy to get your hands on, and may even be in your own house! To find out where to find ephemera, read Searching High and Low for Ephemera. You’ll soon find out just how simple it is to get your hands on a large collection of ephemera pieces.

Some basic computer, construction, or scrapbook paper is also helpful to have on hand. You’ll find it nice to be able to glue your ephemera pieces onto this type of paper. There are a number of types and designs to choose from, but heres a bundle that’s pretty cheap from Amazon.
